#40under40WA

The WA 40under40 Awards is Western Australia’s pre-eminent program for recognising and celebrating the state’s leading entrepreneurs, innovators, and future business leaders under the age of 40. The awards recognise not only personal determination, commercial drive and business success, but also acknowledges philanthropic and community contributions. This year’s awards also marked the 20th anniversary of the event!

And what an event, held at Crown Perth and run by Business News, one of our very own, Urbaqua’s newest Director Rebecca Epworth, was awarded for her work in urban water management in co-founding Coterra Environment, as Chair of New WAterWays, secretary of the Stormwater Industry Association and member of the UDIA’s Urban Water committee, as well as her time spent volunteering with the Activ Foundation and newly arrived refugees.

As it turns out, our resident Senior Environmental Engineer Halinka Lamparski is also claiming some glory by association – her husband (Estrin Saul immigration lawyer and Voyager rockstar) Daniel Estrin was also a winner!

Needless to say there were celebrations all round late into the night, particularly as luck would have it – Halinka and Rebecca happened to be seated on the same table. Thanks to Business News WA for a wonderful event!
