Greywater and Condensate Water Reuse Study for Green Infrastructure
Client: City of Perth
Investigation into the feasibility of alternative water sources for irrigation of urban green spaces to increase urban greening potential, improve water sustainability and reduce urban heat island effect. Investigating reusing greywater and condensate water from air conditioners in commercial and multi-residential buildings to supply irrigation to green walls and rooves. The study provided in depth modelling scenarios and a guide detailing regulatory approval requirements, treatment requirements, systems and technology, and likely water requirements to green infrastructure ratios. It also included two City of Perth demonstration projects detailed for implementation.
