Ashfield Flats Master Plan

Prepared for Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions in partnership with Shape Urban, PGV Environmental, MP Rogers and South West Kinships (2022 – 2023). Preparation of a Master Plan informed by meaningful consultation with Tradition Custodians to ensure importance and context of the site within Noongar country is recognised and showcased within the design proposals. Involves comprehensive local community engagement to recognise community values and needs to balance public use and access with the proposed treatments of environmental qualities and enhance the spatial functionality of the area. Includes proposals for management/ interventions/ strategies for the enhancement/ adaptation/ resilience of the environmental and ecological qualities.

The Ashfield Flats Masterplan was awarded commendation in the Strategic Planning Project at the 2024 Planning Institute Australia Awards for Planning Excellence.
