It’s National Water Week!
Each year National Water Week lands on the third week in October – with the intent of inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to work together to build awareness around the value of water. Access to clean water is a vital part of our lives, and we all need to band together to protect our water environments and resources.
The theme for 2018 is ‘Water for me, Water for all’ which is all about encouraging young people and the wider community to think about how we use water and how we can protect it as a future resource.
Ultimately, National Water Week is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the role that water plays in all of our lives. We sometimes take for granted the clean water that runs from our taps – a luxury that isn’t afforded to so many people around the world.
