Essential Environmental’s Young Water Professional of 2016: Halinka Lamparski

Halinka shows off her winning glass plate!
Essential Environmental is proud to say that their own Environmental Engineer, Halinka Lamparski, has taken out top honours at last Friday’s 2016 WA AWA Water Awards dinner – winning Young Water Professional of the Year!
Essential Environmental was also nominated as a finalist in the Program Innovation Award category for our work on the Specification for Groundwater Controlled Urban Development with IPWEA, WALGA & Department of Water, but were pipped at the post by the Water Corporation for their Waterwise Office Program.
The evening proved to be fun-filled affair, with Verity James (ABC tv & radio) leading the charge with her beautiful voice, wit and comic (& sometimes mildly provocative) genius!
The WA Government also released a media statement announcing all the winners:
This included Academic Chair of Environmental Engineering at Murdoch University, Dr. Martin Anda as Water Professional of the Year, and Department of Water taking out the WA Water Sensitive Urban Design (Graham Heal) Award (judged by Essential’s Shelley Shepherd) for their recent development of their UNDO tool – Urban Nutrient Decision Outcomes.

The team celebrates Halinka’s victory!
Well done Halinka, we are proud of you!
